"I think it is a very good book for immediate and aftercare TBI"
"I wish I had this book when I first had my TBI in 2017. It was the last of 11 concussions over a lifetime and this one ended in me not being able to walk, talk or read anymore. More info in here than was ever given to me by the doctors at Moss Rehab. Thank you for writing it."
"Since my freak accident in February 2018, I have experienced so many days of pain, loneliness, grief, tears, and unbearable sadness. To be diagnosed with a moderate traumatic brain injury - - that also has tendency to have insomnia, mood swings, horrific headaches, (not migraines-migraine medication doesn’t touch them) neck injury ( C6 & 7), clinical depression, tremors, short term & intermediate memory loss, light sensitivity, dizziness, fall risk, ear ringing, head pressure, eye pain, fatigue, nerve pain, & neuropathy. An emotional roller coaster I would not wish upon my worst enemy. Loss of self, friendships, relationships, livelihood, purpose and so-forth. Small town physicians have no idea how to treat, friends and family members think you are playing the victim card or they don’t or can’t handle that you’re not you. . . anymore! Hey! You cannot handle that YOU are not YOU! Prior to the accident I was already ADD I had a wonderful life full of beautiful memories and children and blessing and vibrant life friendships and people I was an extrovert who loves to be happy and outside and around lots of others. Now not so much. I can’t be in a crowd. I look forward to hearing the book I will give you four stars now just for writing one!!! Once I listen I will get back to you on whether the stars go up or down ;) Wendy Allen, Texas"
