Next-Level Nutrition

Unlike other NAC supplements, BrainMD’s N-Acetyl L-Cysteine NAC supplement contains 600 mg of NAC, the exact dose studied in leading clinical trials.1,2,3 When consumed, NAC breaks down into cysteine (a non-essential amino acid), then metabolizes into glutathione, the body’s master antioxidant and most integral part of the detoxification system.*

Without sufficient glutathione, your brain and body can’t function at their best. Supplementing with glutathione’s precursor, N-Acetyl L-Cysteine, can help keep your cells energized, your immune system firing on all cylinders, and support your brain health.*

• OUR CEO SAYS •

“If you want to fight back against premature aging like I do, you’re going to love BrainMD’s NAC.”

- Daniel G. Amen, MD

For Anti-Aging & Longevity: NAC And The Fountain Of Youth

If you want to age gracefully, take NAC.

Studies show that oxidative damage can play a significant role in the development of age-related issues.4* By preventing autoxidation within the body, NAC protects against organ damage and promotes a longer and healthier life.*

Modern Living Breaks Down Your Immune System, NAC Helps Build It Back Up

Aside from increasing glutathione levels, NAC supports the production and function of immune cells and boasts powerful mucolytic and antiviral properties.* Research shows that NAC can help break up mucus, reduce coughing and wheezing, and support long-term lung health.5* Some doctors consider NAC the best line of defense against lingering respiratory ailments and regularly recommend it to their patients for its outstanding ability to optimize the body’s resistance against oxidative stress.*

What The Science Says

  • When given as a supplement for 3 years, 600 mg of NAC decreased exacerbation rates (flare ups) in people with smoking-related lung problems.5*
  • One randomized, double-blind study conducted in 70 subjects dealing with inflammation found that NAC supplementation stabilized lung function better than the placebo.6*
  • A recent meta analysis conducted in double-blind, placebo controlled studies found that giving a prolonged course of supplemental NAC can help prevent lung and respiratory problems.7*
  • One study conducted in 135 subjects with mild cognitive impairment found that 600 mg/daily of NAC for one year improved cognitive performance, memory, mood, and behavioral functions.1*

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I take BrainMD NAC?
Adults should take BrainMD NAC by mouth once or twice daily. Similar to other amino acids, it is recommended to take the NAC supplement either 30 minutes before or 2 hours after eating a meal to avoid competing with protein for absorption.
Can this supplement make me dependent on it, or addicted?
No. Like other BrainMD products this is a dietary supplement, not a drug, and is not habit-forming.
Is this product safe to take during pregnancy?
NAC should be taken under the guidance of a nutritionally informed health care professional. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding it is best to speak with your healthcare provider before starting any supplement.
Which other supplements would make this supplement work even better?
NAC is an excellent adjunctive supplement in certain populations. When taken with selenium, in some men it has been shown to improve semen quality. In the elderly population, research suggests that when taken with Glycine, they synergistically work as a neuroprotective supplement to fight free radicals and oxidative stress.3,4
Where should I store BrainMD’s NAC supplement?
It is recommended that it is stored in cool and dry conditions protected from water, sunlight, and heat.
