Explore Your Unique Brain Type

Are you assertive, determined, and prefer routines? People with Brain Type 8
can have all those traits, and also may be strong-willed.

The SPECT scans of individuals with Brain Type 8 typically show reduced activity in the prefrontal cortex (PFC), the brain's brake system. While this can inhibit impulsive actions, it can sometimes stifle creative, out-of-the-box thinking. SPECT scans of people with this Brain Type also reveal heightened activity in the anterior cingulate gyrus (ACG). The ACG is the brain's mental gear shifter. It influences seamless transitions between thoughts and actions. An overactive ACG, often associated with low serotonin levels, can lead to unwavering persistence, even when caution is advised. Individuals with this Brain Type typically show increased activity in the limbic or emotional centers of the brain, fostering sensitivity and empathy, but potentially inviting mood challenges. As a result, people with Brain Type 8 may grapple with negative thoughts and a pessimistic outlook.

Brain SPECT scans of individuals with Brain Type 8 commonly reveal heightened activity in anxiety-related regions like the basal ganglia, insular cortex, and amygdala. This is often attributed to lower levels of GABA, a neurotransmitter that calms the brain. While driven and goal-oriented, people with this Brain Type may also experience bouts of anxiousness or nervousness, leading to a cautious yet prepared approach to life.

Brain Type 8 is the second most common Brain Type, so you aren’t alone if you feel this way.

The key to balancing Brain Type 8 lies in boosting dopamine, serotonin, and GABA levels. Optimizing omega-3 fatty acid and vitamin D levels, and incorporating magnesium and l-theanine into your supplement regimen, can also be beneficial.
